Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Pick up upon your arrival at Hanoi airport, transfer to your hotel, free at leisure and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Mai Chau ~ 170 km (L/D)

Once out of the Red River Delta, which brims with traditional farming activity, we pass through limestone monoliths and into foothills populated by Muong people. We head straight at the main range before breaching a high and beautiful forested pass, which descends into the hidden valley of Mai Chau where we spend the night with friends in a traditional Thai stilt house in a Thai village.

Day 3: Mai Chau –  Phu yen ~ 200 km (B/L/D)

Say goodbye to the family, we continue our trip to Phu Yen, a small lovely town inhabited by many ethnic villages around. Tonight, we stay in Phu Yen

Day 4: Phu yen – Nghia Lo – Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen ~ 200 km (B/L/D)

We leave Phu Yen for Than Uyen with the first stop in Mu Cang Chai where you will have an opportunity to see one of the most amazing terraced rice fields and roadside ethnic markets. Continue on stunning road to Than Uyen where will stay in a guest house.

Day 5: Than Uyen – Tuan Giao – Muong Lay ~ 180 km (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we start our another beautiful ride to Muong Lay via Tuan Giao. This is a very nice day as you will ride through very stunning scenery with visit to many ethnic minorities by roadside. Tonight, we stay in Muong Lay, a small lovely town by the Black River. Overnight in Muong Lay.

Day 6: Muong Lay – Xin Ho – Sapa ~ 200 km (B/L)

The highlight of the trip will be the driving up to Hoang Lien Son Pass which is one of the highest ones in Vietnam. At summit, you can enjoy amazing view over the large beautiful valley and Fanxipan- - the highest mount of Vietnam and called roof of Indochina. Continue to Sapa with a short break at Silver Waterfall for visit or try some local foods. Overnight in Sapa

Day 7: Sapa (B)

Free day at leisure for your own visit. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 8: Sapa  - Bac Ha ~ 120 km (B/L)

Today we ride toward Bac Ha and visit one of the below markets:

Market days:

Coc Ly - Tuesdays

Can Cau - Saturdays

Bac Ha - Sundays

Cao Son - Wednesdays.

Tonight, we stay in Bac Ha.

Day 9: Bac Ha – Ha Giang ~ 200 km (B/L/D)

This morning, visit lively and colorfull market in Bac Ha before we contimue our trip to Ha Giang via Xin Ma and Hoang Su Phi. The road is very beautiful with many curves. Overnight in Ha Giang.

Day 10: Ha Giang – Dong Van ~ 145 km (B/L/D)

Today’s ride must be highlight of the trip as we will visit one of the most remote land in Vietnam where are special with many ethnic groups with their unique cultures and imposing mountains - the “Heaven Gate” in Quan Ba, Rock Plateau and the Vuong palace in Dong Van. Tonight, we stay in a hotel.

Day 11: Dong Van – Bao Lac ~ 100 km (B/L/D)

After the breakfast, let spend your time to visit Dong Van old street and if it falls on Sunday, you will have great opportunity to visit the weekly maket of Dong Van where gathers many ethnic groups and their local products. The market is like a festival for the local to enjoy the time with friends, talking, drinking...Continue to Bao Lac via Meo Vac and the highlight will be the conquering the Ma Phi Leng pass. Upon arrival, check in and stay in a guesthouse in Bao Lac.

Day 12: Bao Lac – Quang Uyen ~ 110 km (B/L/D)

Morning visit to the local market in Bao Lac before our trip to Quang Uyen, a far north district of Cao Bang province where owns its beautiful landscape and home to many ethnic groups. Tonight, we stay in the homestay of a Nung family.

Day 13: Quang Uyen – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Quang Uyen ~ 140 km

Having obtained permission from the border police, we make our way through spectacular scenery to Vietnam's most impressive waterfalls. Weather permitting we can swim right up to where the 50 m high falls hit the river. Back to Quang Uyen and visit Nguom Ngao cave cave. Stay a second night in Quong Uyen.

Day 14: Quang Hoa – Ba Be Lake ~ 170 km (B/L/D)

Ride from Quang Uyen to Babe lake & national park where the landscape is amazing and the homestay is another unique experience. Upon your arrival, you are free at leisure to do the boat trip (own expense) or walk to explore the village of the Tay people. Overnight in homestay of a Tay family.

Day 15: Ba Be Lake – Vu Linh ~ 170 km (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we drive to Vu Linh village of the Dao people by Thac Ba Lake which has an area of 23,400 ha and 1,331 islands and hills with diverse ecological environments. The water in the lake is blue and clear, and imprinted with the reflections of the surrounding ancient forest. Tonight, we will stay in the homestay with our friend’s family. The welcome is exceptional with a lot of ricewine and laughter

Day 16: Vu Linh – Hanoi ~ 180 km (B/L)

It is hard to say goodbye to such friendly and kind family but we have to ride back to Hanoi today, and finish the unforgettable adventure. Upon arrival, check in hotel.

Day 17: Hanoi (B)

Free day at leisure for spending your own time to visit Hanoi.

Day 18: Hanoi – Halong ~ 165 km by car (B/L/D)

Morning drive to Halong Bay (165km), Vietnam most scenic sight, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site. Upon arrival, board your deluxe traditional wooden junk. Welcome drink on board. After a relaxing break, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the wonderful Ha Long bay visiting its amazing grottoes and caves. Opportunity to dive off the boat and have a pleasant swimming in the deep blue water of East Sea before relaxing on your sun deck to view a Halong sunset.  Dinner on board with excellent fresh seafood.

Overnight on board.

Day 19: Halong – Hanoi (B/L)

Get up early to catch the sunrise on the bay and relax with a cup of hot coffee or tea. We depart for a visit to the splendid Sung Sot grotto and a quick glimpse of a nearby fishing village. Enjoy another seafood lunch on board while cruising back through Halong bay to the pier. Transfer to Hanoi for overnight.

Day 20: Halong Departure (B)

Free at leisure and check out at noon. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
