Most of the restaurants are located on Xuan vien street, Cau May St and Thach son street. There are some food stalls at the market. Also in the evening, there are many food stalls are set around the sport field. You must bargain.

All over Vietnam, some Vietnamese dishes, ingredients or cooking methods are universal while others are uniquely local or regional. Sapa is no different with its mix of lowland and highlands cuisines. Particular specialties to try are the different dishes of the various local hill tribes.

There are some restaurants offering both Vietnamese food and some non-Vietnamese dishes. Mid Range hotels usually boast about offering at least some "Western" dishes, and smaller hotels and guesthouses will normally be able to offer at least something non-Vietnamese. However, don't expect it to be "just like Grandma used to make".
